As a Sr. Fullstack Developer at Landed you will:

Own critical product areas end to end, including architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
Act as the DRI for your domain, making decisions independently and unblocking yourself when needed
Focus primarily on backend development in Ruby on Rails while comfortably traversing the stack into our web frontend using Hotwire and our mobile surface
Lead hands-on development and productionization of LLM and generative AI features
Design and build systems that align with real user needs and business goals
Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across existing systems and workflows
Uphold strong engineering and security standards while continuously improving our codebases
Establish and maintain operational excellence practices such as logging, metrics, alerts, and incident response
Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and pragmatically
Collaborate cross-functionally to shape specs, ship measurable outcomes, and learn from real-world impact
Mentor teammates through thoughtful reviews, pairing, and feedback

You’ll be a great fit if you:

Have 6+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer
Are highly proficient with Ruby on Rails and comfortable owning production systems
Have experience working with JavaScript
Have strong experience with PostgreSQL, ActiveRecord, and performance tuning
Prefer ownership over heavy direction and bring structure to ambiguous problems
Like to ship code frequently and care about quality, testing, and maintainability
Learn quickly in new environments with a solutions-focused mindset
Communicate clearly and work well in cross-functional, remote teams
Enjoy remote work and taking responsibility for your impact

Bonus points if you:

Have experience with React or React Native
Have experience with or interest in learning Hotwire or Stimulus
Have worked in SaaS environments, LLM development, or ATS / HRIS integrations
Have experience working with distributed, international teams
